The Head of the Cost Estimates and Legislative Support Unit of the Parliamentary Budget Office, Shorena Kakhidze, participated in a public-private dialogue (PPD) meeting held in frames of ReforMeter – a reform tracking mechanism in Georgia and the USAID Economic Governance Program, dedicated to the issues regarding assessment the progress of Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) institutionalization reform.
Shorena Kakhidze informed the audience about the involvement of the Parliamentary budget office in the legislative process, introduced the activities carried out by the Budget Office in the process of institutionalization of Regulatory Impact Assessment. She also discussed the activities planned by the budget office in the direction of promoting the legislative process.
Representatives from the Parliament of Georgia, Government of Georgia, Research Organizations, and other Stakeholders were engaged in the meeting.
The feedback on reform progress from the participating stakeholders will be included in an assessment report of the ISET.
